Alice
It is the best ISP in this study. Alice is the most dynamic ISP, the
cheapest and the one which is recognized as the
No. 1 in quality of
service for several months. Indeed:
-Alice offers many services included in the subscription such as
unlimited downloads of free music as evidenced by the banner above, a web TV
to watch television on a computer which is also handy when there is not a sufficient flow for the normal TV service. But there is also a service
for sending SMS, a loyalty program which allows for free months,
communications or options. In addition any new subscriber will be greated with open arms and it will make it easier for it is not
lost. Indeed, Alice offers free installation and one hour computer
training to the Internet. Furthermore Alice is the only ISP to have a
completely free hotline (they call you back on your mobile therefore no bills of
several hundred euros spent on that).
- Alice is also the most valuable ISP in terms of quality of service as Alice is the
first ISP in terms of service for several months already. It is
recalled that Alice is the only ISP to reimburse a client automatically
in the event of failure of service delivery and this is the least we can do
in uch cases, yet others do not.
- Despite all the services offered by
Alice, one finds that new services are constantly added. To subscribe you are
very well welcolmed by 3 month with no subsciption to pay. Alice is
the cheapest ISP market.
Alice is the best ISP in
terms of innovation, quality service and claims the lowest fares in the
market. It is for this reason that Alice is in the red for quite some
time and will soon sell therefore enjoy while there is still time!!

Numericable
Numericable offers an attractive alternative to ADSL. Indeed,
Numericable provides in the basic offer the same services that other
ISPs but by the cable or optic fiber. There is therefore a better
quality of connection than ADSL offers but for the same price, ie 29.90
euros per month. It offers in practice a true download flow of 30 or
100MB/secondes against the 3 or 4MB/secondes obtained on average with
ADSL. Such a flow also allows sharing its connection through FON wireless
routers without significant differences in the speed of the connection.

Free
This is the troublemaker of the Internet that has allowed prices
of ADSL to go down in France but with unlimited traffic. The company has made it's fortune through pink phone services. Its offers of ADSL Internet, telephone,
television at 29.99 euros per month was popularized through it's users and the famous advertisiments "crétin.fr. " Its offer is lowered by a
real loss of innovation and a customer service of very low quality but they do not hesitate to trial their subscribers when they
criticize the serious malfunctions of free's services on their websites. Termination costs
are very high and force subscribers to stay with this operator for at least 3 years. Offer
very popular with many geek because of a very active community of users and
massive possibilities of development.

SFR, Neuf, Tele2
, Cegetel, Club Internet, AOL, Erenis
These are not the most attractive offers but it is the second largest
ISP behind Orange thanks to external growth that multiple acquisitions
have enabled. Their offers are not particularly interesting. Two
bids may, however, be found interesting:
- the offer ADSL + SFR mobile
internet. This offer may be interesting for those who travel a lot but
there is a period of commitment at least 36 months or 3 years!
- Offers Télé 2 box essential that offers a subscription to 19.90 euros
/ month but not unlimited telephony included this can be solved by using a skype offer. In addition the 3
months offered at Alice which includes telephony and high-quality
service is definetely cheaper on a yearly basis.
Moreover, the presence of this economic power in
the world of broadcasting in Internet access is dangerous for Internet
users since SFR belongs to the group VIVENDI UNIVERSAL one of the
largest staffs of the music industry sector. I do not therefore
consider this incursion in the delivery of internet services as a good thing, as this could cause the loss
of freedom and privacy on the net to meet the financial interests of
large private companies. The problem for pirates which download copyrighted music on P2P services being to pay these majors who are a sort of mafia but definetely not the artists who have an obvious
right to be payed for their work
.

Orange
The most expensive ISP with a good quality service but with no real innovative service. Its only
advantage is that they pump so much money out of their clients, that they can expand
their network in the most remote corners where there is no competition.
There is therefore no interest to be at Orange. It should choose that
default because of the absence of any other ISP.
